Okay, I know I say this a lot….but I just love Manhattan, Kansas. Honestly, this place is just so great. With beautiful weather and lots of spare time, I spent a lot of this weekend outside and in a local park. Isn’t it wonderful how something as simple as sunshine can make you feel instantly joyous and at peace? After spending some time in Aggieville dining at Wabash and checking out the St. Patrick’s Day Parade, I packed a backpack in the afternoon and set out on a walk that ended at one of Manhattan’s many parks. I was armed with several copies of Real Simple- an essential ingredient in the making of a perfect Saturday!
Awhile back I read a quote from Socrates- “Beware the barrenness of a busy life.” With this on my mind lately, one of my biggest goals has been to focus more on quiet time. Moments spent where I’m not running around, making lists or sending my thoughts in a million places at once- learning to focus on taking time to just be still. This week I’m challenging myself to keep this habit of spending quiet moments outside going. With a lovely forecast on the horizon, I’m up for the challenge.
For now, I’m off to do some meal prepping for this week before sitting down to watch the BEST show ever, The Amazing Race! 🙂 Enjoy the rest of your Sunday friends, and take some time for yourself this week!
